Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh fruit (e.g., strawberries, raspberries, or mangoes)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, if the fruit isn't naturally sweet enough)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to the lowest setting, typically around 140°F (60°C).

Step 2

Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 3

Wash and prepare your fruit by removing stems, seeds, or skins if necessary.

Step 4

Place the fruit into a blender or food processor. Add lemon juice and blend until a smooth puree forms.

Step 5

Taste the puree to check the sweetness. Add honey if desired, blending again until fully incorporated.

Step 6

Pour the fruit puree onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread the puree evenly into a thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.

Step 7

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and let the fruit leather dry for approximately 5 hours. The fruit leather is ready when it is no longer sticky and peels easily from the parchment paper.

Step 8

Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.

Step 9

Carefully peel the fruit leather from the parchment paper. You can use kitchen scissors to cut it into strips or desired shapes.

Step 10

Store the fruit leather in an airtight container or wrap it individually in parchment paper for easy grab-and-go portions.
