Ingredients

  • 2 cups Hazelnut flour
  • 1 cup Tapioca starch
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Chopped hazelnuts

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the hazelnut flour, tapioca starch, baking powder, and sea salt until well combined.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy, then add in the melted coconut oil, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until smooth.

Step 4

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Ensure there are no lumps.

Step 5

Gently fold in the chopped hazelnuts, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.

Step 6

Using your hands, divide the dough into 8 equal portions and form each into a ball. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 7

Slightly flatten each ball with your palms to give them a bun shape.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown on the outside and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 9

Allow the buns to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
