Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef or pork
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 piece medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 pieces tomato, chopped
  • 1 piece carrot, diced
  • 1 piece red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 piece zucchini, diced
  • 2 pieces bay leaves
  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup green peas (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet or pan, heat the coconut oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they're translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Step 4

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef or pork. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.

Step 5

Once the meat is browned, add the chopped tomatoes, diced carrot, bell pepper, and zucchini. Stir well to combine.

Step 6

Add the bay leaves, coconut aminos, fish sauce, black pepper, and sea salt. Mix everything together.

Step 7

Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it cook for about 15 minutes.

Step 8

If using, add the green peas and cook for another 5 minutes until all the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded.

Step 9

Remove the bay leaves before serving.

Step 10

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Step 11

Serve the Paleo Giniling hot over your choice of cauliflower rice or enjoy as is.
