Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 0.25 cup Coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons Arrowroot starch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Coconut oil

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix together the almond flour, coconut flour, and arrowroot starch until well combined.

Step 2

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg, coconut aminos, and water.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

Step 4

Add the sea salt, garlic powder, and black pepper to the dough, mixing until evenly distributed.

Step 5

Split the dough into two portions for easier handling.

Step 6

Place one portion of the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out as thinly as possible, around 1/8 inch thick.

Step 7

Using a knife or a pizza cutter, slice the dough into thin strips about 1/2 inch wide and 3 inches long.

Step 8

Repeat the rolling and slicing with the second portion of dough.

Step 9

Heat the coconut oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium-high heat.

Step 10

Once the oil is hot (about 350°F if you have a thermometer), carefully drop a few strips at a time into the oil.

Step 11

Fry the strips for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown and crisp, turning them halfway for even cooking.

Step 12

Remove the strips with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 13

Repeat the frying process with the remaining strips.

Step 14

Allow the wonton strips to cool slightly before serving.
