Ingredients

  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut flour
  • 3 tablespoons Arrowroot powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 cup Coconut oil
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 cup, finely chopped Onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon, freshly grated Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable or chicken broth

Directions

Step 1

Start by preparing the samosa dough. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, arrowroot powder, and salt.

Step 2

Add melted coconut oil and an egg to the flour mixture. Mix until a firm dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 3

While the dough chills, prepare the filling. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.

Step 4

Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the beef. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent, approximately 3-4 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala, and turmeric powder. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the spices are aromatic.

Step 6

Add the broth to the mixture, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer until the mixture is almost dry but still moist, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 7

Mix in the chopped cilantro and lime juice. Adjust seasoning with salt to taste.

Step 8

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 9

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 12 equal portions.

Step 10

Roll each portion into a ball, then press between pieces of parchment paper or plastic wrap to flatten into a thin round disc.

Step 11

Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each disc, fold over, and seal the edges by pressing gently to form a half-moon shape.

Step 12

Arrange samosas on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crisp.

Step 13

Cool slightly before serving to allow the flavors to meld and enjoy your Paleo Cocktail Samosas warm.
