Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 4 slices Paleo cheese slices
  • 8 large lettuce leaves
  • 1 sliced tomato
  • 1 sliced red onion
  • 0.5 cup pickles
  • 1 sliced avocado
  • 0.25 cup mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and coconut aminos. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil.

Step 4

Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, or until browned.

Step 5

Flip the patties and place a slice of Paleo cheese on top of each patty. Cover the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the patties are cooked to your desired degree of doneness.

Step 6

Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute or two.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, take two large lettuce leaves and place a cheese-topped patty in the center.

Step 8

Top each burger with slices of tomato, red onion, pickles, avocado, and a drizzle of mustard.

Step 9

Wrap the lettuce leaves around the fillings to form a wrap and serve immediately.
