Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 1 cup arrowroot powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.25 cup ghee
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, arrowroot powder, baking soda, salt, and nutritional yeast. Stir until well combined.

Step 3

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg, melted ghee, apple cider vinegar, and water until emulsified.

Step 4

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until it forms a dough. The mixture should be soft but not sticky.

Step 5

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each part into a long rope, approximately 12 inches in length.

Step 6

Shape each rope into a pretzel shape by forming a U-shape, twisting the ends twice, and then folding the ends back over the base of the U.

Step 7

Place each formed pretzel onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Sprinkle the pretzels with coarse sea salt.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pretzels are golden brown and firm to the touch.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow the pretzels to cool for at least 5 minutes on a wire rack before serving.

Step 11

Enjoy these Paleo Cheese Pretzels as a snack or paired with your favorite Paleo-friendly dips!
