Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon Nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian herbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Cut the cauliflower into florets and place them in a food processor. Pulse until the cauliflower resembles fine rice grains. You should have about 3 cups of riced cauliflower.

Step 3

Transfer the riced cauliflower to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it on high for 4-5 minutes until soft. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 4

Place the steamed cauliflower in a clean kitchen towel and wring it out to remove as much moisture as possible. This step is crucial to achieve a crisp crust.

Step 5

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained cauliflower, egg, almond flour, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Step 6

Transfer the cauliflower mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a thin, even circle, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

Step 7

Brush the top of the crust with olive oil to help it crisp up in the oven.

Step 8

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Step 9

Remove the crust from the oven and add your desired paleo-friendly toppings.

Step 10

Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the toppings are cooked through and the crust is golden and crisp.

Step 11

Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious paleo cauliflower pizza!
