Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw pecan halves
  • 0.333 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, coconut sugar, coconut oil, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sea salt over medium heat.

Step 3

Stir continuously until the coconut oil is melted and the mixture is smooth and just beginning to bubble, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Add the pecan halves to the saucepan and stir to coat them thoroughly with the honey mixture.

Step 5

Spread the coated pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time, until the pecans are golden and fragrant.

Step 7

Remove the pecans from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet. They will continue to harden as they cool.

Step 8

Once fully cooled, transfer the candied pecans to an airtight container for storage. They can be kept at room temperature for up to two weeks.
