Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 4 large leaves iceberg lettuce
  • 1 large tomato
  • 0.5 medium red onion
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties.

Step 4

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice the tomato into thick slices, cut the red onion into thin rings, and slice the avocado.

Step 6

Make the Paleo-friendly sauce by blending the Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and fresh parsley in a small bowl.

Step 7

Once the patties are done, let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Step 8

To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add a patty, then top with tomato slices, onion rings, avocado slices, and a dollop of the sauce. Finish with another lettuce leaf as the top 'bun'.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Paleo Big Tasty Burger!
