Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium, chopped onion

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup, chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
