  • 4 cups water
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick

  • 5 cardamom pods
  • 3 black peppercorns
  • 1 inch piece, sliced fresh ginger
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

Start by making almond milk: Soak 1 cup of raw almonds in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Step 2

Drain and rinse the soaked almonds. In a high-speed blender, combine almonds with 4 cups of fresh water.

Blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes until creamy and smooth.

Step 4

Strain the almond milk through a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth into a bowl. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Set aside the almond milk.
