  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon Water (for egg wash)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and active dry yeast.

In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, warm the milk until it is about 110°F (lukewarm but not hot).

Add the warm milk, softened butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5-7 minutes.
