  • 16 pieces large white button mushrooms
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces cooked crab meat
  • 2 stalks green onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Clean the mushrooms and carefully remove the stems. Set the caps aside, and finely chop the stems.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped mushroom stems, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, cooked crab meat, sautéed mushroom stems, green onion, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended.

Fill each mushroom cap generously with the crab filling and place them on the prepared baking sheet, evenly spaced.
