Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken tenders
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1.5 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0 Cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly spray the parchment paper with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Step 2

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; one for eggs and milk whisked together; and one for panko breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese and olive oil (combine well until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated with the oil).

Step 3

Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. This helps the breading adhere better.

Step 4

Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, then dip it into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off. Finally, coat the chicken tender in the breadcrumbs mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even coating.

Step 5

Place the breaded tenders on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out evenly to ensure proper browning.

Step 6

Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray to help them crisp up while baking.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, flipping the tenders halfway through to ensure even cooking. The chicken should be golden brown and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Remove the chicken tenders from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them as-is or with your favorite dipping sauce!
