Ingredients

  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 60 ml ouzo
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line two baking trays with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Mix in the ouzo and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
