  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil, chopped
  • 4 oz Fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 0.25 cup Sun-dried tomatoes, julienned
  • 0.25 cup Basil pesto
  • 4 Ciabatta rolls, sliced and toasted
  • 1 cup Arugula leaves
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and fresh basil. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties, about 1 inch thick.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly brush the patties with olive oil to prevent sticking, and place them on the grill.
