Ingredients

  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Onion powder
  • 3 cups Bread flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast
  • 1 Egg (beaten, for brushing)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Add the warm water, milk, and unsalted butter into the bread machine pan.

Step 2

Sprinkle the granulated sugar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder over the liquids.

Step 3

Add the bread flour, ensuring it covers the liquids completely.

Step 4

Make a small well in the center of the flour and add the active dry yeast. Be careful that the yeast does not come into contact with the liquids initially.

Step 5

Set your bread machine to the 'Dough' cycle and start the machine. Let the machine knead and rise the dough.

Step 6

Once the dough cycle is complete, transfer the dough onto a floured surface.

Step 7

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a bun or roll.

Step 8

Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Cover the buns with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise for 30-40 minutes in a warm place until they double in size.

Step 9

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 10

Brush the tops of the buns with the beaten egg for a glossy finish. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture and flavor.

Step 11

Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Step 12

Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Step 13

Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
