  • 2 pieces celery stalks, diced
  • 3 pieces green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the wild rice thoroughly under cold water and set aside.

Step 2

In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.

Add the minced ginger and garlic to the pot and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the diced carrot, celery, and sliced shiitake mushrooms. Sauté for another 5 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
