Ingredients

  • 250 g spaghetti
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 pieces scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 piece red chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked and drained green beans or peas

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.

Step 2

Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 7-8 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauce. Lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 6

Toss in the chopped red chili pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and add the cooked green beans or peas, combining them into the beef mixture.

Step 8

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs. Add the cooked spaghetti, sesame oil, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly.

Step 9

Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the greased pie dish, pressing it evenly into the bottom.

Step 10

Layer the spicy beef mixture evenly over the spaghetti base.

Step 11

Spread the remaining spaghetti mixture on top of the beef layer. Gently press it down to compact the pie.

Step 12

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese across the top of the pie.

Step 13

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and the cheese is melted.

Step 14

Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.

Step 15

Garnish with chopped scallions before slicing and serving.
