  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Trim the woody ends of the asparagus and cut the stalks into 5 cm (2-inch) pieces.

Step 2

Clean the shiitake mushrooms, remove the stems, and slice the caps into bite-sized pieces.

Step 3

Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Stir to combine into a smooth sauce.
