Ingredients

  • 2 shots Freshly brewed espresso
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup Ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 slice Orange slices or zest (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Brew two shots of espresso using your coffee machine or stovetop espresso maker. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the milk, chocolate chips (or chocolate syrup), granulated sugar, and orange zest. Stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely and the mixture is smooth. Do not let it come to a boil.

Step 3

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the freshly squeezed orange juice for a hint of citrus brightness.

Step 4

Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, about a cup or more depending on your preference.

Step 5

Pour the slightly cooled espresso over the ice in the glass.

Step 6

Slowly pour the chocolate-orange milk mixture into the glass, stirring gently to combine all the flavors.

Step 7

Top with whipped cream if desired, and garnish with an orange slice or a sprinkle of orange zest for a decorative touch.

Step 8

Serve immediately with a straw or spoon and enjoy your refreshing Orange Iced Mocha!
