Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (preferably 80/20)
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, fresh and chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil (for cooking)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to absorb the milk.

Step 3

Add ground beef, ground pork, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix everything together until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can make the meatballs dense.

Step 4

Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

Step 5

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches if needed, sear the meatballs for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. This step adds extra flavor.

Step 6

Transfer the browned meatballs back to the baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 8

Serve the meatloaf meatballs with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, gravy, or steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
