Ingredients

  • 10 large Fresh lemons
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 cups Water

Directions

Step 1

Wash and dry the lemons thoroughly to remove any wax or residues.

Step 2

Roll each lemon firmly on the countertop to loosen the juice inside, then slice them in half and juice them using a manual or electric juicer until you have around 2 cups of fresh lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp if desired.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture forms a simple syrup. This should take about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Step 4

Once the simple syrup has cooled, combine it with the fresh lemon juice in a large measuring cup or a bowl. Stir well until fully blended.

Step 5

Transfer the concentrate to an airtight container and refrigerate until chilled. The concentrate can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.

Step 6

To make lemonade from the concentrate, mix 1 part concentrate with 2 parts cold water or adjust to your preferred taste. Serve over ice and enjoy!
