Ingredients

  • 12 oz Canned tuna (drained and flaked)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1.5 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained and flaked canned tuna, eggs, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, chopped parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 4

Once the oil is hot, carefully add the tuna cakes to the skillet, working in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.

Step 5

Cook the tuna cakes for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Step 6

Remove the cooked tuna cakes from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 7

Serve warm with a side of lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or a simple salad for a complete meal.
