Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 120 grams creamy peanut butter
  • 80 grams brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 grams rolled oats
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 50 grams chopped roasted peanuts

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth using a fork or potato masher.

Step 3

Stir in the peanut butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.

Step 6

Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped roasted peanuts for added texture and flavor.

Step 7

Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 5 cm (2 inches) apart.

Step 8

Flatten the dough balls slightly with the back of a spoon, as they won’t spread much during baking.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.

Step 10

Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 11

Enjoy these delightful Oatmeal Peanut Choconana Cookies as a snack, dessert, or even a breakfast treat!
