Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted, plus more for greasing)
  • 1 cup Nutella (or other hazelnut-chocolate spread)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional, for topping)
  • 0 fresh fruit or whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, water, sugar, and salt until smooth and free of lumps. Add the melted butter and mix well. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes at room temperature.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease with a small amount of butter.

Step 3

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet, tilting the pan in a circular motion to evenly coat the bottom with a thin layer of batter.

Step 4

Cook the crepe for 1-2 minutes, or until the edges begin to lift and the bottom is lightly golden. Flip the crepe carefully using a spatula and cook the other side for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Step 5

Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed between crepes.

Step 6

Spread 1-2 tablespoons of Nutella over one side of a crepe, then roll it up tightly or fold into quarters. Repeat with the remaining crepes.

Step 7

Dust the filled crepes with powdered sugar if desired, and serve with fresh fruit or whipped cream on the side for an extra treat.
