Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups Nutella
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt

Directions

Step 1

Place the unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to beat it until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Nutella to the bowl and mix until fully combined and smooth.

Step 3

Gradually add the powdered sugar, about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing on low speed to avoid a powdery mess. Increase the mixer speed to medium-high after each addition until the mixture is creamy.

Step 4

Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat on medium-high speed for another 2-3 minutes, or until the frosting is smooth, fluffy, and spreadable.

Step 5

Taste and adjust the consistency, if needed. If the frosting is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of heavy cream. If it’s too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.

Step 6

Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or other desserts, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Allow to come to room temperature and re-whip before using if stored.
