  • 0.75 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Water (optional, for consistency)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Wash the beets thoroughly and cut off the tops and bottoms. Wrap each beet loosely in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

Roast the beets in the oven for 45 minutes or until a fork can easily pierce through them. Baking time may vary depending on beet size.

Once the beets are cool enough to handle, peel off the skin. The skin should slide off easily using your hands or a paper towel.
