  • 180 milliliters Milk
  • 50 grams Unsalted butter
  • 1 large Egg
  • 50 grams Sesame seeds
  • 1 large Egg yolk
  • 15 milliliters Water

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Mix well to ensure the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until warm to the touch, but not hot (about 37-40°C or 98-104°F). Remove from heat and add the unsalted butter, stirring until melted.

Step 3

Add the warm milk and butter mixture to the dry ingredients. Crack an egg into the mixture and stir until a rough dough forms.

Step 4

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
