  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 125 grams butter, unsalted and softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 milliliters milk

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom, and ground ginger. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.

In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and stirring until a soft dough forms.
