Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup Unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 0.5 cup Rolled oats
  • 0.25 cup Sunflower seed butter
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons Chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a food processor and ensure there are no remnants of nuts or allergens if used previously.

Step 2

Place the pitted Medjool dates in the food processor and pulse them until they form a thick paste.

Step 3

Add the shredded coconut, rolled oats, sunflower seed butter, almond extract, vanilla extract, sea salt, chia seeds, cocoa powder, and coconut oil into the food processor with the date paste.

Step 4

Pulse the mixture several times until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture has a uniform texture. You might need to scrape down the sides of the processor bowl occasionally.

Step 5

Taste the mixture, and if needed, adjust the flavor by adding a little more almond extract or a pinch of salt.

Step 6

Once the mixture is ready and holds together, use a tablespoon to scoop out the mixture and roll it between your palms to form balls about 1 inch in diameter.

Step 7

If the mixture is too sticky and difficult to roll, refrigerate it for 10 minutes before proceeding.

Step 8

Place the finished bliss balls on a baking sheet or tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 9

Refrigerate the bliss balls for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow them to firm up.

Step 10

These bliss balls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
