Ingredients

  • 220 grams All-purpose flour
  • 60 grams Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 170 grams Unsalted butter, softened
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • 150 grams Light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 whole Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
  • 150 grams Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 150 grams Dark chocolate chunks

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar with an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed just until incorporated.

Step 6

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks with a spatula or wooden spoon until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 7

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges but still soft in the center.

Step 9

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Serve the cookies slightly warm with a generous scoop of your favorite nut-free ice cream.
