Total Time:20 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh chives (chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Parsley (optional, chopped for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Allow the butter to melt and become slightly golden, about 1 minute.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30-45 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to let it burn.

Step 5

Stir in the chopped chives and lemon juice, cooking for an additional 30 seconds to combine the flavors.

Step 6

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the chive garlic butter sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.

Step 7

Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving dish. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.

Step 8

Serve immediately with crusty bread, rice, or a side salad for a complete meal.
