Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Large ripe avocados
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Cilantro leaves
  • 2 pieces Green tomatoes (tomatillos), husked and rinsed
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 piece Jalapeño pepper (seeded for less heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Step 1: Bring a small pot of water to a boil, add the tomatillos, and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened. Drain and let them cool to room temperature.

Step 5

Step 5: Transfer the green sauce to a serving bowl or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Step 6

Step 6: Serve chilled or at room temperature as a dip for tortilla chips, a topping for tacos, or a drizzle over grilled meats and vegetables.
