Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened and golden brown, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
