Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to soak up the milk.

Step 2

Add the ground beef, ground pork, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the breadcrumb mixture.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a large spoon, gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing as this can make the meatballs dense.

Step 4

Scoop out portions of the mixture (about 1.5 inches in diameter) and shape them into balls using your hands. Place them on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 6

Cook the meatballs for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally to brown all sides, until they are cooked through and have an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

Serve hot with your favorite sauce or dish, and enjoy!
