Ingredients

  • 4 whole Fresh peaches
  • 1 package (8 rolls) Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups Sprite or lemon-lime soda

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2

Peel the peaches and cut each one into 8 slices, giving you a total of 32 slices.

Step 3

Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place one peach slice at the wider end of each crescent dough triangle and roll it up tightly. Repeat until all 32 peach slices are rolled.

Step 4

Arrange the peach dumplings into the prepared baking dish in a single layer with the point of the dough covering the peach slice facing down.

Step 5

Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Stir in the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until combined, then pour this mixture evenly over the dumplings.

Step 6

Carefully pour the Sprite or lemon-lime soda around the edges and between the dumplings, avoiding pouring the soda directly on top of the dough.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown on top and the syrup is bubbly.

Step 8

Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the dumplings cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
