Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pizza dough
  • 1 pound Ground Italian sausage
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, approximately 12x18 inches.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon. Drain any excess grease and let cool slightly.

Step 4

Spread the cooled sausage evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Step 5

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly on top of the sausage.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.

Step 7

Brush the egg wash lightly along the border of the dough. This will help seal the edges when rolling.

Step 8

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, tucking in the ends as you go to seal the ingredients inside.

Step 9

Place the rolled dough seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 10

Brush the top of the sausage bread with the remaining egg wash. Sprinkle with garlic powder and dried oregano.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 12

Allow the bread to cool for 5 minutes before slicing into thick pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
