Ingredients

  • 6 oz Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 pieces Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Add minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Roughly chop the chipotle peppers and add them to the saucepan with the garlic. Stir well.

Add tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, ground cumin, onion powder, and salt to the saucepan.

Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.

Slowly pour in the water while stirring to create a smooth consistency.
