  • 1 whole bay leaf

Directions

Step 1

Peel and thinly slice the yellow onion, and peel and mince the garlic cloves.

In a slow cooker, place the beef chuck roast in the center.

Scatter the sliced onion and minced garlic over and around the beef.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
