Ingredients

  • 1 head Green cabbage
  • 2 medium Carrots
  • 0.5 small Red onion
  • 0.75 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1.5 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Celery salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Remove any outer bruised leaves from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage in half and remove the core. Thinly shred the cabbage using a sharp knife or a mandoline slicer, then transfer it to a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

Peel the carrots, then grate them using a box grater or a food processor. Add the grated carrots to the bowl with the cabbage.

Step 3

Peel the red onion and thinly slice it into half-moons. Add the sliced onion to the cabbage and carrots in the mixing bowl.

Step 4

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, celery salt, and ground black pepper until the dressing is smooth and well combined.

Step 5

Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.

Step 6

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or sugar to your preference.

Step 7

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld. For best results, serve it chilled.

Step 8

Toss the coleslaw again before serving to redistribute the dressing. Enjoy!
