  • 2-4 tablespoons reserved chickpea liquid (aquafaba)
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

1. Drain the canned chickpeas, reserving the liquid (aquafaba) in a separate bowl. Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under running water.

2. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic cloves, ground cumin, and salt.

3. Blend the mixture for approximately 30 seconds, then stop and scrape down the sides of the food processor with a spatula.
