Ingredients

  • 12 oz Pasta (rotini or elbow macaroni works best)
  • 10 oz Canned tuna (packed in water, drained)
  • 1 cup Celery (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 cup Red onion (finely diced)
  • 1 cup Frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool completely. Set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, prepare the vegetables by finely chopping the celery, dicing the red onion, and thawing the frozen peas.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, chopped celery, diced red onion, and thawed peas.

Step 4

In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to make the dressing.

Step 5

Add the cooled pasta to the large mixing bowl with the tuna and vegetables. Pour the dressing over the top and gently toss everything together until evenly coated.

Step 6

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper if needed.

Step 7

Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
