  • 1 unit loose tea leaves or tea bag
  • 1 teaspoon optional sugar or sweetener

Pour 250ml of water into a small saucepan or kettle and heat it on medium-high heat until it begins to boil.

If using loose tea leaves, add 1 teaspoon of tea leaves into the boiling water. If using a tea bag, place it into your mug and proceed without adding it to the boiling water.

Step 3

Lower the heat and allow the tea leaves to simmer for 2-3 minutes, or turn off the heat once the water boils if using a tea bag.

Step 4

Strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer directly into your mug (if you used loose leaves). If you used a tea bag, leave it in the mug as the hot water is poured over it.

Step 5

Stir in 1 teaspoon of optional sugar or sweetener to taste, or skip this step if you prefer your tea plain.

Step 6
