  • 6 pieces bacon strips

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Once cooled, chop into bite-sized pieces.

Drain the excess bacon fat from the skillet, leaving about 1 tablespoon for added flavor. Add the olive oil and butter to the skillet and heat over medium heat.
