Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 100 grams Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 medium Red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 0.75 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 150 grams Plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 medium Cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 pieces Burger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup Arugula or lettuce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, black pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Step 3

Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties, about 2 cm thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Step 4

Brush the patties lightly with olive oil on both sides to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Place the patties on the preheated grill or grill pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F) for medium doneness.

Step 6

While the burgers cook, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt with lemon juice in a small bowl. Season with a pinch of salt if desired.

Step 7

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by spreading a tablespoon of the yogurt sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add arugula or lettuce, a cooked burger patty, cucumber slices, and another dollop of yogurt sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy!
