Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Large shrimp (shell-on, deveined)
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 loaf French bread (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shrimp thoroughly under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or sauté pan, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Once the butter has melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Step 4

Add the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, oregano, and Creole seasoning. Stir well to combine all the spices.

Step 5

Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 6

Add the shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the sauce to coat. Cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Step 7

Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Add more butter for richness or a dash of cayenne for extra heat.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp for a fresh, vibrant finish.

Step 9

Serve immediately with slices of crusty French bread to soak up the flavorful sauce. Optionally, you can also serve it over steamed rice.
