Directions

Step 1

Start by thoroughly washing the cucumbers and trimming off the ends. Leave them whole or slice them into spears or rounds, depending on your preference.

In a medium saucepan, combine the white vinegar, water, kosher salt, and granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the brine cool slightly.
