Ingredients

  • 56 oz canned baked beans
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Open the cans of baked beans and pour them into a large oven-safe casserole dish or Dutch oven.

Step 3

Chop the bacon slices into small pieces and fry them in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Step 4

Dice the yellow onion and sauté it in the same skillet with the remaining bacon grease until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 5

Add the cooked onion, crispy bacon pieces, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to the casserole dish with the baked beans. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Place the casserole dish, uncovered, into the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour, stirring halfway through to ensure the flavors blend evenly.
